What the treatment involves
Ayurvedic Lifestyle Disorder Management at Santhigram uses Udwarthanam herbal massage combined with Swedana steam therapy. Udwarthanam is a vigorous herbal powder massage intended to stimulate soft tissue and skin, while Swedana applies controlled warmth. Together these methods are applied to address the physical symptoms clients experience alongside metabolic conditions, without claiming to treat underlying disease.
Sessions focus on hands-on application in a single 45 MINUTES appointment priced at $195. The treatment is delivered in a private therapy room and is paced to client tolerance. Practitioners adjust pressure and steam intensity for comfort, and explain each step so clients from Mississauga and surrounding areas know what to expect.
What to expect during sessions
During a session most clients notice warming, gentle friction, and rhythmic movements from the herbal massage followed by a period of steam. These sensations are intended to ease stiffness and encourage tissue relaxation. Practitioners monitor client comfort throughout and suggest hydration afterward; no medical claims are made about changing clinical test results.
Because Mississauga experiences cold winters and warm summers, the warming effect of Swedana can feel especially restorative in colder months, while summer clients may prefer lighter steam. Scheduling may be adjusted for weather-related travel delays since local winter storms and freeze-thaw cycles can affect appointment timing.
